Arianna discusses her conscious decision to start a family, her early success with conception, and her challenging first pregnancy characterized by extreme nausea. As the COVID-19 pandemic hits, Arianna’s routine obstetric care becomes increasingly impersonal, leading her to make a last-minute switch to a home birth. With support from a newly found midwife, Arianna prepares for an unmedicated home birth, vividly sharing her physical and emotional experiences leading up to the labor day. An intense and unexpected childbirth experience was imminent.
